Abheda Mahal of Kota is among the top few places in the list of tourists who visit the Hadoti region of Rajasthan. It is located in the educational city of Kota and local people make it a point to visit this place annually for spending some quality time with their family and friends.
There is a lake built on the backside of the lake that had crocodiles in it for the entertainment of people during the reign of Ummed Singh II (1889-1940). Although the constructor of Abheda Mahal is not clear but is expected to be built in the 18th century.
Information on Abheda Mahal Kota-
The main building of Abheda Mahal is made up of yellowish color and has 3-storeys that mainly consist of long corridors, arched pillars, kiosks, and small compartments or rooms.
A lake named as the Abheda Jheel is situated on the backside of the Mahal that has plenty of lotuses grown in it. the lake was built by Raja Dheerdeh of Kota in the year 1346.
Crocodiles were kept as pets in the ponds on the backside of the Mahal and they were named too, during the reign of the kings.
The walls of the mahal are decorated with the paintings that depict the rich culture, heritage, flora, and fauna of the state at that time.
The complex of the Mahal is blessed with a huge cover of green gardens that are divided into square shapes by pathways in between them.

Janana ghat and Mardana ghat are two ghats or bathing platforms on the banks of the water that were used by ladies and gents respectively for daily bathing at that time.
Rani Mahal is a small palace that was meant for the residence of the queens at that time.
Riyasatkaleen Kuan or the princely well is also located on the premises of the Mahal and it was used for fulfilling the need of drinking water for the residents.
The place, due to its grandeur and colossal architecture along with the natural beauty of lotuses, is frequently used for pre-wedding shoots to get some memorable clicks.
There is a small lake within the boundaries of the Mahal that facilitates the joy of boating there. Colorful pedal boats are a great experience to have.
The place is frequently visited by school children during the school picnics as there is a lot of things for them to enjoy. Large gardens, slides, swings, boating, are the features that attract them.
Although the place has been developed a lot over the span of time, it still needs much management and concern by the authorities to boost the tourism of the place.

How to Reach Abheda Mahal Kota?
Sanganer Airport of Jaipur is the nearest airport to Abheda Mahal and is at a distance of about 240 km from Kota city.
The nearest railway station is the Kota Junction at a distance of about 7.5 km.
The best way is to visit Abheda Mahal is through private vehicles like cars that facilitate your journey.
Timings of Abheda Mahal Kota-
The timings of the place are from 10 am to 6 pm and it remains open on all days of a week.

Best Time to Visit Abheda Mahal Kota-
The best time to visit this scintillating palace is during the months of July-February that comprise of the monsoon and the winter phases. Visiting there during these times would definitely save you from the scorching summers heats of March-June. Also, the added benefit of witnessing the fully blossomed lotus flowers is achieved.
The monsoon season is considered as a good time to plan a visit because nature is in its fully refreshing form and perfect weather for picnics can be gained.
You can also spot some of the most beautiful migratory birds there during the months of August-March.
Travel Tip-
The parking facility is available so take your private vehicle without any hesitation.
Do not destroy the natural beauty of the monument by littering the place.
Take arrangements of drinking water and some ready to eat food packets, as no such facility is available there.
Karni Mata temple is located about 2 kilometers from the temple is a must visit place for people who visit Abheda Mahal.
