Ganesh Udhyan is a breath-taking garden complex that boasts of its grandeur and splendid beauty and is located near the Khade Ganesh Ji Temple in the Kota city of Rajasthan. This garden has various attractions that make people of almost every age group make a visit here. Scenic views for photographers to have some memorable clicks, running tracks for athletes, lawns for yoga and exercises of aged people, and playing area for children. It is blessed with a huge variety of blooming flowers that make the whole panorama more scintillating.

People from nearby areas make a visit to this auspicious garden in the morning and evening times for performing yoga and exercises along with running and jogging on the tracks. The soothing touch of nature rejuvenates their body and keeps them calm and motivated for the day.

A small man-made mount is also constructed within the garden complex that gives a mesmerising top view of the garden and its nearby areas. Although it is not too high, it gives a feel of trekking and hiking.

The main attraction of the garden is the numerous plants and flower species present, which are very difficult to find normally in the city. These colorful and blissful flowers give a heavenly look to the whole garden complex.

The garden also has huge lawns spreading the brightness of lush greenery in the eyes. These vast lawns serve as the best place for children to play and for others to perform their exercises and group meetings.

Fun Zone is also a thing not to be missed, especially if you have a visit there with your children. This zone has various rides and swings for little bees to enjoy and have fun. Free Fall is the one that is allowed to adults also and it gives a spectacular view of River Chambal from the top.

A food zone is also present there to have some delicious food by sitting in nature’s lap.

How to Reach Ganesh Udhyan?

ADDRESS– Ganesh Nagar, Kota, Rajasthan

The nearest bus stand is the New Bus Stand, Dhanmandi at an estimated distance of about 10 km from the garden. The next option is the Nayapura Bus Stand, which is about 12 km distant. Local vehicles like auto-rickshaws and tempos can be used to reach these locations.

Kota Junction is the nearest railway station to Ganesh Udhyan at a distance of about 17 km and is very efficiently connected with almost all major cities of the nation.

Kota Airport is the nearest airport to the Garden at a distance of about 8 km and can be reached within 15 minutes through autorickshaws or taxis. But this one is not well connected and developed airport. So, the best option would be the Jaipur International Airport, ­­240 km distant from the Kota.

Timings of Ganesh Udhyan-

The opening time of the garden complex is from early morning to around 7 pm in the evening and it remains open on all the days of a week.

Entry Fee-

No Entry Fee is charged to people that come for morning walks and exercises before 8 am. After that INR 5 is charged per person.

Best Time to Visit Ganesh Udhyan-

It is advisable to plan a visit to the garden during the months of August to February to avoid the exhausting heats of summers and the massive monsoon rains, as there are fewer places to have shelter during both the above situations. Also, morning time is the best one when nature is in its purest form and you can experience some cold and refreshing winds.

Travel Tip-

Do make a visit to Khade Ganesh Ji Temple which is very close to the garden and is considered among the holiest temples of Kota.

Carry arrangements for drinking water to avoid dehydration while exploring this huge garden area.

Do not pluck the flowers and destroy the plants there, as such activities dilapidate the beauty and elegance of such a splendid garden.

Do not litter the place with the wrappers of food packets as it destroys the splendor of the garden. Use dustbins provided at different spots in the garden complex.
