Literally, ‘Karai’ means the bank of a river which completely signifies the location of the temple on the banks of River Chambal.There are around three to four small temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Bhairo, and other deities. There is a temple of Naharsinghi Mataji near the main entrance gate of the complex.The Karai ke Balaji temple premise is blessed with natural beauty by the virtue of its prominent location on the banks of River Chambal.The main sanctum is just near the shore of the river and has a sculpture of Lord Balaji housed there.You can have some snaps of the majestic Chambal river and the four chimneys of the Kota Thermal Power Station.Main Sanctum
How to Reach Karai ke Balaji Temple?
The best way to reach the temple is by hiring local vehicles like autorickshaws that will drop you exactly on the location at very reasonable rates.Either you can prefer to go there on your private vehicles as there is no problem with the parking space there.The nearest railway station, Kota Junction is at a distance of about 12 km from the temple.Entry Fees-
No Entry fee is charged to people visiting the temple.Timings of the Temple
The timings of the temple are from 5 am to 12:30 pm. After this, the temple remains closed for about three hours and then reopens from 4 pm to 10:30 pm at night.The temple remains open on all the days of a week. It is believed that one should have a visit to the temples dedicated to Lord Hanuman or Balaji on Tuesdays and Saturdays for more fruitful results.Location on Map-
