The main idol of Karni Mata was established by the Jhalas in the year 1778 in the space by the shores of the Abheda Lake.
The temple is also known by the name of Rat Temple due to the presence of a huge number of rats there. It is said to be good if one sees these rats galloping food and milk in the temple premises.
The temple has a huge premise along with lush green gardens covering a huge area. This place is often used by people to organize family functions and small get-togethers.
According to the sources, the construction of the temple was done in the 20th century by King Ganga Singh.
