Kota Zoo or the Kota Zoological Park is the only zoo in the city and is located in the Nayapura area of Kota, Rajasthan. It is visited by a lot of people including both domestic and foreigners. But it requires more attention from the authorities to improve its conditions.
Information on Kota Zoo-
Kota Zoo comes under the category of a small zoo and was established in the year 1905 over an area of about 2.2 hectares in Kota, Rajasthan.
The zoo is having a very less variety of animal species that include lion, tiger, deer, ostrich, crocodile, snakes, and tortoises as the main attraction.
Birds of few kinds can also be spotted here like emu, peacock, parrots, and ducks.
Most of the cages are empty and do not have animals in them. This place requires a lot of attention from the government for its development and to promote tourism.
Lack of animal varieties withdraws this place from must places to visit in Kota. But if you have a keen interest in wildlife species, then it is a must-visit place for you.
Photography is allowed here and a lot of people and school children visit here and enjoy their day with animals.

The nearest Railway Station is the Kota Junction railway station at a distance of about 7.5 km that can be covered within 30 minutes.
The nearest bus stand is the Nayapura Bus Stand at a distance of about 2 km that can be covered within 10 minutes.
Timings of Kota Zoo-
The timings of Kota Zoo are from 9 am to 6:30 pm in the evening.
The zoo remains closed on Tuesdays.
The tickets for Indian cost INR 20, while for foreigners they cost INR 150.
No fare is charged to Children below 5 years of age.
Do not mess up with the animals by giving them food and other stuffs to eat and crossing the safety bars. They may harm you else.
Try to visit there during the morning hours, and in the winter months of October-March.
